Medical Interventions (MI)
In the third sequence of the PLTW pathway, students investigate how the diseases of a fictitious families can be prevented, diagnosed, and treated using medical interventions. Students will learn about the spread of infectious disease, screen for genetic mutations, and treat failing body systems. The main topics explored throughout this course include immunology, surgery, genetics, pharmacology, medical devices, and diagnostics.
